Helping one dog.
Advancing care for
all dogs.
We investigate the difficult cases veterinarians don't have hours to investigate themselves.
Canovum gathers the evidence that already exists across a dog's case, reconstructs the complete history, investigates contradictions and overlooked information, and searches for scientifically defensible paths that may not have been considered.
The resulting pathway is reviewed by a credentialed veterinarian and brought back to the treating veterinarian for consideration.
Canovum is beginning with difficult canine cancer cases, with the investigative model designed to expand into other complex conditions over time.

Every Case Makes the System Smarter
Difficult veterinary cases rarely exist in one place. Medical records may span multiple practices and specialists. Pathology, imaging, laboratory findings, treatment history, owner observations, and outcomes may be scattered across years and across different systems.
Canovum is designed to bring that evidence together and investigate the case as a whole. As each case progresses, we can connect what was known, what was tried, what happened next, and which pieces of information actually changed the path forward.
With appropriate permission, that accumulated longitudinal evidence can help Canovum become better at investigating future cases: recognizing patterns, contradictions, treatment responses, and scientifically defensible possibilities that may be difficult to see when each dog's records are considered in isolation.
Every dog deserves the benefit of everything we have learned from every dog that came before it.
Canovum has no preferred answer.
We do not begin with a particular drug, manufacturer, laboratory, pharmacy, diagnostic technology, or type of treatment. We begin with the individual dog and the evidence that already exists.
The answer may be an existing veterinary treatment, a different combination or approach, a human therapy that may be appropriate for veterinary consideration, a compounded formulation, an emerging therapy, a clinical trial, or another evidence-supported option that has not yet been considered.
Sometimes the investigation may identify an important question that the existing evidence cannot answer. In those cases, additional testing may be worth considering. But more testing is not the starting point. The starting point is understanding everything we already know.
And in some cases, the most responsible conclusion may be that no additional scientifically defensible avenue has been identified.
Help Us Pressure-Test Canovum
Canovum is preparing for initial case validation. Before live case use, we are pressure-testing how the investigation works in the real world: evidence acquisition, clinical review, laboratory and specialist interaction, owner follow-up, and the handoff back to the treating veterinarian.
We welcome conversations with veterinarians, veterinary specialists, researchers, diagnostic laboratories, and scientific collaborators who are willing to challenge the model, identify where it could fail, and help us build a rigorous way to investigate difficult canine cases.
